What to Expect From our Online Work Order Service

All instrument repairs are processed either through third party insurance groups or at any one of our locations.  We use a quick and easy online repair process.  After you submit your information, you'll need to log in and enter your email address and contact information in order for our technicians to keep in contact with you during your instruments repair.

Once you are notified and informed that your instrument is ready to be picked up, you will have 30 days to retrieve your instrument.  If you need more time you will be charged $1.00/day up to 90 days.  After this you will forfiet your instrument to String Masters Custom Shop.

What Kinds of Repairs can be Processed Online?

Currently, you cannot process an actual work Order for your instrument in need of repairs.  If you had purchased an extended warranty or if you had initialy taken your instrument to any one of our locations, this is currently the only way to process a repair.

Out-Of-Warranty Repairs:  This includes instruments outside the Manufacturers Limited Warranty period, or repairs that are not covered by the warranty.  You will need to bring your instrument into any one of our locations.

In-Warranty Repairs:  You will need to bring in your unit or send it to us along with 2 copies of your original receipt and explain the problems you're having with your instrument.

Extended Warranty Repairs:  You will need to contact your 3rd party extended warranty insurers and they will inform you of your shipping criteria along with any other information you'll need to process your repair.

For warranty types of repairs, you will need to make sure you have the following information before you make the call.

SMCS Extended Warranty
 
String Masters Custom Shops Protection Plans are extended warranties that cover your Instrument against defects in workmanship and material for an additional 12 or 24 months after your original warranty expires. The SMCS Extended Warranty must be purchased separately.

Getting SMCS Coverage:

You can purchase a SMCS Extended Warranty at anytime after you purchase before your original warranty expires and your instrument
